Ugh. How is it that I'm a grown woman and still have static head? I don't even have to wear a hat to get this.
It's not as if I'm skipping conditioner, either. Oh, no. I slather it on and apply leave-in conditioner. I drink tons of water and choke down fish oil supplements. My hair? Still an unruly mess.
Maybe it's my brush. I could buy one that claims to cut static.
Or I could rub my head with dryer sheets.
Hmm...
Do you live in a cold climate and deal with static head? How do you combat it?
Have a terrific Wednesday!!
I use a dab of gel. I used to use one by Aussie, but Target isn't carrying it or the company changed the formula. I've been using one by Garnier Fructis from their Pure and Clean line.
ReplyDeleteI like Aussie products, CJ. I'll check the Garnier line--thanks!
DeleteOh yes, I deal with static head, especially in the fall. What I sometimes to is spritz a little hairspray on my fingers and gently run them on the edges of where the hair is sticking up like crazy. It helps tame it somewhat. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who deals with this "malady." :)
Gel and hairspray--you guys are smart! I'm so tired of all the static!
DeleteOH yes...but I tend to just make the static worse by wearing knit hats. :) Oh well...if static is the sacrifice I have to make to wear cute knit hats, I guess I'm okay with that. Haha!
ReplyDeletecover it up with a hat--good plan!!
DeleteAs you get older it gets better, then you get really older, and the static comes back. Sheesh
ReplyDeleteToo funny, Linda!! I must be in the getting really older category! It's crazy!
DeleteOne word: ponytail.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about changing my hairbrush for winter. I have long hair, and this is crazy! It sticks to my face if I don't pull it back.
I'm thinking of the hairbrush switcharoo too, Kathy. I can't take this anymore!!
DeleteI tell my wife she's a fashion trend-setter.
ReplyDeleteDo you know how hard it is to outrun an accurately thrown bottle of hairspray?

Ha, ha!! Nice!!
DeleteLiving in the humid south I have no concept of static head. It's more like puffball head from the curls generated by humidity. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteSo you're saying every region produces bad hair? :)
