It's Good Friday! What an amazing, blessed day to celebrate! Every year, I'm in awe of God's gracious gift. To send His own son to die for us and save us from our sins? And three days later, to rise and overcome death? It's impossible to wrap my brain around, but so simple to wrap my heart around.
Although I should be keeping this post reflective, it's the first Friday in April and therefore time for another webisode of "... with Jill Kemerer." Today, we're setting a watch!
FYI, I did figure out how to set the watch, and at 12:03 AM, I learned I'd set the alarm too. Wonderful. A few days later, I'd accidentally pushed a few buttons and managed to set an alarm that beeped every hour. I'm pretty sure I've got the kinks worked out. I hope so at least!

In honor of Easter break, I am taking next week off from blogging. Come back on Monday, April 16 for a new post.
Have a blessed, happy Easter!
Ahhh, so cute and hilarious. Fun stuff! Glad you got the watch set. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you need to be a MENSA member to set that watch. Uggh!
DeleteLOL! You make me laugh and your hair is adorable! I love it like that. Watches. Nope.
ReplyDeleteI use a cellphone for time. Or I ignore it all together. Happy Easter, friend!
Ha! My cell phone is from the Adam and Eve age, so I ignore it as much as possible! And thanks for the compliment on my hair--I'm really lazy. Getting a curling iron out is big time! :) Happy Easter to you too!
DeleteI love these. And YES! This is why I don't like time and I don't like coffee. I just boycott both.
ReplyDeleteI'm vlogging with Casey Herringshaw today! It was fun. I haven't vlogged in awhile!
Ooo, vlogging with Casey--I've got to see that! Thanks!
DeleteJill, this blessed me so much!!!
ReplyDeleteThis week I was going to teach myself how to make hairpin lace- yeah, who does that? So I bought a tool at Jo-Ann's... I've seriously thought of bending and twisting the thing beyond all recognition...
So YES!! I feel your pain.
Happy Easter!!
Oh, Cheryl. We have Hobby Lobby around here, and I've decided to "teach myself" many an illogical craft. Not pretty! Not pretty! Ha!!
DeleteLOL! Watches are the worst! I don't wear a watch (don't like the feel of it on my wrist; weird, I know), but the kids are always buying/inheriting/finding those cheap-o digital watches with the teeny folded instructions. And then coming to me to set them.
ReplyDeleteI never even look at the instructions. My method? Keep pushing buttons until I figure it out (or not), haha!
Happy Easter, Jill! Muah!
Kathy
Ha! Kathy, I tried the push every button, but woke up at 12:03 am to beeping! This watch became my personal nemesis. I was determined to master it! Ha! Happy Easter to you too!
DeleteYou are so awesome...and hilarious! I can't wait to meet you in person. Just registered for ACFW so woot, woot!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Yeehaw! I have to do that this morning too. Only a few months! :)
DeleteI know! I can barely work my iPod shuffle! How sad is that? :)
ReplyDeleteI've somehow set my watch to beep at midnight. I don't know how to make it stop...lol. This has been going on for 3 weeks now.
ReplyDeleteOh, I can relate! I'm protective of my sleep, so when I woke at 12:03 am, I was an angry lady!! Good luck!
DeleteI just got a new watch...and it's one with the little pull-out stem that rotates the hands toward the correct numbers on the face.
ReplyDeleteThat's about the speed of my technology. Anything more and I'm just asking for trouble.
I'll be taking off next week too. Have a happy EASTER!!
ReplyDeleteYou have a very happy Easter too!
DeleteSmart move, Erica, smart move. Trust me, you don't want anything to do with multiple buttons and settings!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fabulous week off. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteYou too, Elana!! Happy Easter!
DeleteToo funny! I got an Ipad for Christmas and had to get online to figure out how to turn it on. For a month all it had was nook and kindle books and Words with Friends until I could figure out how to use it! Ahhhhh the wonders of technology!
ReplyDeleteMarji--I would have been the same way! I need a 200 page manual for any techy gadget! Have fun with your iPad!
DeleteJill:
ReplyDeleteI used to say I didn't want to mess with any machine that was smarter than I was. Then I got into working on a computer. I still say that about anything that is tedious, like your watch.
I watched your other vlogs. I think you are onto something here.
Ooo, good motto! Why are seemingly simple things--like a little watch??--so difficult? Give me a break! Thanks for watching my vlogs--I appreciate it!
DeleteJill - I am so glad that my audio (and my video, too) are working again. I wouldn't want to miss what I just saw. You cracked me up at least three times. What fun it must be to hang around your place. I always get my watches at K Mart for about $30. When they "die", I throw them out. They work on the pull/push method.
ReplyDeleteOnce I asked for a mini microphone/tape recorder for the car. It was so tiny my fingers couldn't set it and I didn't understand the directions anyway. I still have it in my drawer.
Oh, you just made my day, Nancy! I'm so glad both your audio and video are working! And how funny about the recorder--I've thought about buying one too. Now I know it would be a mistake! Ha!
DeleteJill, hope you're enjoying your blog break. I tagged you for a fun quiz. It'll be on my blog Tuesday, April 10th. Hop on over sometime to check it out. No pressure, though :-)
DeleteLOL, too funny!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great break, Jill!
Oh, Jill, are you sure we're not related?
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in school, I had an alarm clock that defied all my efforts to tame it. One weekend, I went home to visit my family, and the alarm went off at 5:00 A.M. No one could get in my room to stop it. They were about ready to lynch me when I came back Sunday night.
Enjoy your break!
