That Kind of Day

It's been a busy, busy week. I sat down to write my blog post--I really wanted to take a nap, make dinner, or read instead--and spent a solid forty-five minutes writing about winter and bugs. There were even links!! And when I tried to get fancy by finding a picture of a tree damaged by the emerald ash borer, guess what? The picture deleted my entire post!!

Did I cry?

No. I'm a big girl.

But I wanted to. :(

So you do not get to read about how the polar vortex may have wiped out large populations of the emerald ash borer in the upper Midwest (www.npr.org has a great article on the topic). You will miss out on the fact that mosquitoes are likely to be around this summer and as annoying as ever.

You're sad about this. I can tell.

But, dinner must be made, so this post is what you get. BTW, we're having enchiladas. Mmm...

Anything frustrating you this week? Please share!

Enjoy your weekend!

  2. Oh, I'm so sorry! I've lost some brilliant masterpieces, too--Lol! Makes us want to pull our hair out after we've slaved so hard creating, linking, and photo-searching. :(

But I loved your thoughts today (esp. the baby pic!) And your enchiladas sounded deelish!

What's frustrating me this week? Well... since Twitter has changed our profiles, my header is a lovely shade of "blur." They've changed their pixel thingys and my original shot doesn't quite work. Blah.

    Happy Weekend!!!

  3. Yay for the ash borer news (I have two lovely green ash trees in my yard) and boo for mosquitoes, but what else is new here in the north? Blah. Sorry about your blog post. That's so frustrating. Have a great weekend! :)

    1. That ash borer is an awful tree destroyer. I hope all of them died! Yeah, mosquitoes. Can't get rid of those. :)

  4. Ouch!

I was going to complain about Word deciding to salt a document with random "+" signs...and refusing to do an auto-delete...but I think not.

  5. I AM sad I missed that post. And the mosquitoes are already out here :(. This week has been insanely busy for me, too! Sick kiddos, brunches, paperwork, e-mails, revisions...and the list goes on. My house is messy--and my house is never messy! On the bright side, I'm going to get out and go hiking tomorrow, and I think I'm going to be able to write The End on another novel later this afternoon. Have a great weekend!

  7. Jill: I understand your stress. Here's mine. A dear lady at church passed a mark yesterday-10 months since she had knee replacement surgery. She still can't be active since she has had infections in it- she had the first replacement removed and a spacer put in to hold the spot open. She has had two of these. She recently had a second replacement put in and one month later has developed another serious infection. Please pray for her and her husband.
