I love Fridays!
In an effort to find gratitude and joy in the smallest places, I'm sharing my week's Happy Five--the five things that made me happy this week--vloggy style!
What makes your Happy Five list this week?
Have a fun weekend!
A couple of happy things this week. I haven't bought Halloween candy yet, so I haven't eaten the entire bag! The Young One begins Fall break. Her college is on quarters. They have 7 week sessions and then a week off! (at Christmas she'll get a month off.)With her home, I'll be on break too!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!! I'll bet you've been anticipating this week ever since the semester started! I love how so many colleges offer a nice, long Christmas break now. Bonding time! Enjoy!
DeleteHi Jill, Love the Happy 5 vlog! Esp. your cute dog making her (his?) appearance at the end. Here are my happy 5: 1. Starbucks decaf-venti-non-fat-no-whip mocha. 2. Dancing with the Stars (All-Stars) and the dancing is AMAZING 3. Gorgeous fall colors right outside my office window 4. The wonderful and surprising news that a friend is pregnant with her 2nd child 5. Catching up on Glee and Grey's Anatomy episodes courtesy of Hulu (for FREE!) Have a great weekend, too!
ReplyDeleteOoo, so many great things here, Patrice! Coffee should always make the happy five. Always! And congrats to your friend. Babies make me happy. :) Also, I'm on a saving money kick, so I'm all about the free! :)
DeleteWith you on these! And my super-happy is I get to go away with my BFF this weekend. Shopping! And I don't even like shopping!! Time with friends just makes me smile--just like Buddy the Elf:)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fantastic weekend, Jill!
I'm not a big shopper either, but I love going shopping with a friend since it's really "talking." You know? Plus, I usually cave and get a decadent Auntie Anne's pretzel with cheese dip. Mmmm... Buddy the Elf has the best lines. Does someone need a hug? Ha! Have fun!
DeleteOh Jill, when you held up that can of pop at the beginning, I thought, this is a woman after my own heart. (Of course, mine would be a diet coke with lime. :) )
ReplyDeleteMy five happy things this week:
-Getting to see my precious nephew Ollie! (Okay, technically that was last weekend, but can it still count?)
-Hanging out last night with an awesome friend and taking the longest walk in history.
-The homemade taco pizza we ate for supper. Yum.
-The yard sign I saw that said "Vote No on Zombie rights." Love it.
-And the fact that it's Friday today!
I loved the Vote No on Zombie Rights at your blog today! Soo funny! Of course seeing Ollie still counts. It will count next Friday too. :) Now I want taco pizza...and Coke... :)
DeleteThat was fun, Jill! (No wonder you have so much energy, LOL). Love that your pup decided to get into the shot at the last minute!
ReplyDeleteMy five for this week?
1. My 16 yo's 97 in pre-calc!
2. caramel apples
3. Watching the birds at the window feeders as I write
4. firebowl
5. happy hubby (Nats won last night)
Wow--97 in pre-calc! Genius! Pat yourself on the back for raising such a smart kid. :) I would!
ReplyDeleteI have a happy hubby too--the Tigers won last night! :)
Jill, it was so fun to see and hear you again - I miss everyone from ACFW! :)
ReplyDeleteMy happy five:
-My sister and baby were home for a few days from Colorado this week!
-I took my son to the doctor to have them freeze a wart...not a great experience, so I'm happy that's over!
-I had MOPS this week and made a fun pumpkin decoration that's sitting on my dining room table.
-We bought a new mini-van this week, a much over due purchase and I'm LOVING it!
-Arnold Palmer lemonade/ice tea...I love that stuff.
Aww, I miss my sister! So cool you got to hang out with her and the baby. :) And congrats on the new mini-van--woo-hoo! Love getting a new vehicle! Did you know they make little flavor packets of Arnold Palmer to pour into bottled water? Yeah!
DeleteHi Jill .. Happy Five - first was my mother's Memorial - so I know I've done all I can .. a few letters to write, but essentially I've completed all I set out to do. Saw some friends on my way back from Cornwall. Now starting to tidy up! Had some osteopathy for my legs .. and last but not least - trying to catch my tail with my blogs etc ..
ReplyDeleteLife should get easier in future .. it's been a happy release for us all .. cheers Hilary
I'm very sorry about your mother, but it sounds as if you've found peace. I'm so glad. Hoping the rest of the year gives you a chance to breathe (and brings healing to your legs!).
DeleteAw, your dog is soooo cute!! :)
ReplyDeleteMy happy five:
-My friend was in town for a few days from Virginia. Happy times!
-I took Monday off to hang out with said friend. No work = happy Lindsay.
-My dogs crack me up when they play together.
-Melissa and I had a good brainstorming sesh for my book via email yesterday.
-Jessica Patch is my guest blogger today and she's hilarious!! :D
Friends + no work = awesome!! Your dogs are adorable. My Sophie would be a complete nuisance to them! Loved Jessica's post on your blog today!
DeleteYou are so cute, Jill!
ReplyDeleteMy happy five?
1 Reading your happy 5 made me smile! You are just adorable!
2 I bought some new Yankee Candles for fall - Kitchen Spice smells like an orange Toosie Pop. Doesn't make sense but it smells good.
3 The changing leaves - so beautiful here in Indiana.
4 Goofy fun texts from my son who is at law school in California.
5 A pumpkin spice latte I made from a recipe given out by Jessica Patch. It was good! Whipped cream and all.
Orange tootsie pop--I know exactly what that smells like! We have a Yankee Candle store nearby. I'll have to browse all the candles. :) And how cool is getting goofy texts from our kids? Love it!!
DeleteOrange tootsie pop? I KNOW that smell! We have a Yankee candle store nearby. I think it's time to browse! And how cool is getting goofy texts from our kids? Love it!!
DeleteI LOVE your Friday vlogs. You should do Happy Five more often! What a great way to end the week. Well, you already saw some of my happies, like the chalkboard wall and crafty stuff. Also, my new phone! My other one broke. So I DOWNGRADED! Yep, I didn't get a fancier phone and plan, I got a simpler phone and plan. Yay! Good for a non-techy person like me cause I don't need all that Smart Phone business - toooooo complicated. I could never even figure out how to put a picture with a phone contact! And I figured that out with my NEW phone this morning! Yeah, I should remember that for MY favorites next week :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a super weekend!
I've been thinking the same thing, Cindy! Thanks!
DeleteAren't new phones the best? I don't have a smart phone either, but I did get one this spring that I can actually text with. It's fun!
Hee hee, love the puppy photobombing you. :D
ReplyDeleteMy happy five this week includes fun blogging friends.
That stinkin' dog is nuts! Nuts, I tell you! But I love her. She's my baby. :) Have a great weekend!
DeleteYou are so cute, Jill! My oh my, that bag of Halloween candy looks tempting...I'm trying to avoid that for as long as possible. LOL
ReplyDeleteSome things on my Happy List: Some free time to myself! The newness and fun of plotting a new book. Fall is truly in the air. Fun, fun friends that make me smile every day!
I love this! Woo! A good haircut made me happy today. The frizz and grown out color had taken over. I feel so much better now. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI bought a box of Halloween Candy for us to enjoy BEFORE Halloween. :D I guess I should now buy the candy for the Trick and Treaters.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun vlog, Jill. I loved getting to see your Doxie.
ReplyDeleteMy happy five were five days spent working on my latest story.
You're a natural speaker, Jill!
ReplyDeleteMy happy fives?

2) The work week was productive.
3) My car ate less gasoline than usual.
4) I wrote 3 blog posts on Friday.
5) Today, I found some great deals at a yard sale for practically nothing.
