Friday's Here! What Are You Doing?

It's Friday! And it's a holiday weekend! Woo-hoo!!

I share plenty of my personal UofMichigan "Big House" pictures on my Pinterest Boards. Click on the above picture for my "Football" board! I also have a board for the UofM Spring Game.
 
So now that fall is on its way, we tend to ease into a weekend rhythm. Friday nights are super casual--pizza is usually involved--or nachos? both?--and Saturdays and Sundays bring football (I'm singing a little at the thought of football!), church, and hearty family meals.

I love this time of year.

Tomorrow is the long-awaited kick-off of the University of Michigan Football season. We're hanging our UofM flag, wearing blue and maize, and singing the fight song. Yes!

We might even catch the high school football game played at home. Who knows? Wild!

    Fall means I can start making SOUPS again! And we're not really football fans here, but three out of the four of us in this house get very excited for the figure skating season to start (I know - that sounds SO less impressive than football season). Fall is such a comfortable, contented time.

    We're going up to my folks' for the weekend - last chance to get away for the weekend before they're filled with classes and hikes and apple-picking.

      Figure skating! Do you watch it on television or locally? I've always enjoyed watching it on TV! And I love soup too! Can't wait for a crisp day to put a pot of chili in our crockpot. :)

    Sounds like a fun weekend planned.
    The weather is supposed to really hot and nice so the family and I are going to milk this beach time for what it's worth. LOL Plus, I might host a BBQ.

      Thanks, Jennifer! I've been doing a little fall cleaning on my site. :) I would soak up the beach every second I could too! Winter will be here before we know it!

    I'm relaxing and writing over the weekend. Yay! And yes, I'm sure there will be pizza at some point.

    I looove fall. I'm not sure my routine changes all that much, but my mental state does...I just love, love this time of year!

    I'm looking forward to the long weekend. I need the time away from the office to work on my writing and promo. While fall is the beginning of crock pot meals. Labor day weekend means grill cooking all weekend. Yay! I love a good grilled burger.

    I LOVE fall. It's my favorite season. There's just something about the upcoming holidays, pumpkin spice candles, and a more relaxed feel that I cherish. I told my hubby we are not planning ANYTHING extra in October. September might be a little crazy with ACFW and getting a new puppy...

    This weekend I plan to relax and write. Yay!

    I adore autumn! No special change to my rhythm though. No football either. ;-)Probably will get to turn of the AC and get a nice breeze in the house!

      Isn't it great when we can have the windows open? We're all suffering from seasonal allergies, though, so we'll keep the air on a while longer. :(

    We have a wedding this weekend and possibly a BBQ cookoff among the Life Groups at church with blow up waterslides for the kids. Fun times! Hope it doesn't get rained out!

    Hanging out, taking it easy, watching college football. So glad it's football season again. That means NCAA basketball is just around the corner. :)

    How do the neighbors like your UofMich (the REAL UofM is Minnesota...just sayin') flag on the lawn. Aren't you in Buckeye territory now?

      What? What? UofM is clearly the title owner! :) Ha, ha! Yeah, we're in Buckeye territory and it's frightening. My eyes can't take the red! Help!!

    I'm back teaching again next week, so fall definitely changes our routines! It's my favourite season though - love the air and the scents and the colours :)
