Forty-five minutes later it's empty and I'm ready for a re-fill while doing my Bible study and blogging. Hot tea is huge for me in the winter too! Five years ago I resolved to make healthy changes, went on a calorie-controlled diet, started exercising, and finally obeyed God about my water intake. It has made a HUGE difference in my physical health. Even now, when I feel sluggish, or like I'm starting to gain weight, or my joints ache, and I pray about it, the answer is almost always the same: DRINK MORE WATER. Such a simple answer! Thanks for the reminder, BTW... it's been so cold lately I've been very bad. I try and be mindful about it, still, but don't put as much attention to it as maybe I should? One trick I used was filling a big jug/ pitcher at the start of my day (my day's allotment) and pouring from it. If it was still over half full by mid-day, I knew I had some catching up to do. If it was going down at the same rate as the sun, I knew I was drinking at the right speed. Maybe I should reinstate this "trick" into my everyday life. Thanks for the reminder, Jill.
