4 Things I Love This Week

Four Things I Love This Week:

1. My local walking route exploded in autumn colors, and I actually jogged most of the route!

2. Agatha Christie's The Murder of Roger Ackroyd rocked my world. Several people recommended this book to me in the comment section of one of my old blog posts. I finally got around to reading it. Wow!!

3. The movie, Enchanted April, charmed the socks off me. Gorgeous setting, terrific characters, and happily-ever-afters all around--what more could I ask for?

4. Still haven't turned on the furnace. For those of you who endure cold winters, you know the mental satisfaction of keeping that furnace idle as long as possible!

What are you loving this week?

Have a fabulous Wednesday!

  1. I haven't watched Enchanted April, but I'm with you on the rest of it! Love that Agatha Christie novel - I've actually taught it in my detective fiction course. So fun!

    Thanks for the pick-me-up, Jill!

    1. Kathy, I never guessed the murderer! Everyone had a motive, and it was so clever. It would be fun to sit in on your class!

  2. We are finally seeing autumn here, and it's marvelous! The leaves went form pre-peak to past-peak in the blink of an eye, but everything is still beautiful, the air is so crisp and fresh, and yet we're still able to keep our windows cracked some days - and have yet to turn the heat on!

Murder of Roger Ackroyd - oh my. SUCH an incredibly written book. Dame Agatha was truly one-of-a-kind!

    1. Autumn colors come and go too quickly, don't they. :) Yay for no furnace yet! And I'm in awe of Agatha Christie. What a talent!

  3. I broke down and turned ours on...:) But only in the early mornings. Otherwise, we are enjoying buddling up in cuddly blankets, sweats, and fuzzy socks! Loving all the colors too. This is my FAVORITE time of the year!

    1. A few hours north makes turning the furnace on inevitable. Trust me, I know! I love fall too!

  4. I'm loving the cool autumn weather. Got to wear my favorite boots finally this week! And they go so well with this new over-the-shoulder bag I bought recently. I am not a stylish girl by nature, but the right boots and bag make me super happy. :)

  5. Is Enchanted April on DVD or in theaters?

This hasn't been the BEST week, but I did love that my husband cleaned the house for me yesterday. And since he's been furloughed, we've been able to take the puppies for walks in the mornings. The weather is gorgeous!

    1. On DVD. I think the movie was made in the early 90's. Yeah, I'm slow like that. :) And good for you for looking at the silver lining.

  6. I haven't seen or read that book, but I do love Agatha Christie! It's still in the 70s and 80s here so we certainly haven't turned on the furnace. :) I'm loving the zoo this week, rainy but mostly it held off so we were one of the very few in attendance. The animals were out and it was a great day.

    1. I love going to the zoo in the fall when the crowds are thin and the animals are active. So glad you had fun!

  7. We put off turning on that furnace, too. It seems like when you turn it on too early, it gets hot again...here in Nashville weather is unpredictable.
