Riding My Bike: 2 Minute Resolution Vlog

Welcome to the June 2013 edition of my vlog series, 2 Minute Resolutions.

This month I want to get more active and ride my bike. :) I've been walking/jogging regularly, but there's something wonderful about feeling the breeze and gaining speed on a bike trail. I can't wait to get out there!

What do you want to do this June?

Have a fun weekend!

  1. I think it's hilarious that you take a backpack full of snacks to exercise! Snort! :)

I want to read more in June. I do have a bike and I have a story to tell, but it's one I really would rather not share in public. LOL

    Loved your vlog today.

    1. I know, Jessica!! When I was in college, I took candy-bar breaks DURING workout videos! Ask my roomie!! :)
I want to hear this bike story. Really want to. :)

  2. This June I want to...finish revisions on book two and SEND THE DARN THING IN! Haha...I know, it's nowhere near as summery sounding as bike-riding. I've decided my summer will begin Tuesday, June 25, the day after I turn my book in. Then it's all fun in the sun for me!! :)

    1. Woot, woot!! Send that bad boy in, Melissa!! I, too, am delaying summer until the end of June. Revising like crazy!! It will be worth it, though. :) Good luck!

  3. So fun to see your smiling face!! It's a little hot to do much outdoors in Phoenix...I think we hit 110 already yesterday...but I've been trying to hit the gym five times a week. Failed last week. Determined to do better this week!

    Happy Friday!

    1. Ow! That's hot, Lindsay! Yeah, you need to work out inside--in air conditioning. :)

You'll do great this week. I slowed down last week too, but last night I rocked my workout. Go get 'em!!

  4. I want to get more active, too, and I love bikes! My daughter and hubby have great bikes, but I need one. Guess what I'm looking for? One of those neat three-wheeler kinds with a humongous basket to put on the front. We live in the country, but near my sister and parents and I could bike to their house every day and get my exercise, as well!

What I'm working on this month: updating a writing project and my office redo! :)

  5. Hi Jill! I ride my bike all over Toledo, yes, even on streets (though I will "hop" onto a sidewalk if I have to ride a busy, busy street to get to my destination.) There is a bike trail near our house and I like to get on that when I want to ride and not have to worry about cars, pedestrians, lights, etc. It's about 12 miles to complete the full circuit which is about right for me. Add in another 4-5 miles, roundtrip, to/from my house and that makes for a good workout. I don't take anything with me other than water in a water bottle because I don't want extra weight. And I save the snacks for a post-workout treat. Good luck with your bike riding. I wish we lived closer to each other so we could become riding buddies. Always motivating to have someone else to ride with!

    1. You impress me so much, Patrice! I'm scared of riding on busy roads. And 12 miles??? Wow!! That's awesome!

I wish we lived closer too. We could ride our bikes to coffee. :)
