Happy Labor Day!!

Happy Labor Day, all of my American friends!

Do you spend it with family/friends?
Do you relax or party?
Will there be decadent desserts involved?

We're keeping it low-key, relaxing, and yes, an ice-cream cake will be involved. :)

For everyone who has to work today, I'm sending you virtual coffee, a large pan of brownies, and a hug.

Happy Monday!

  1. Happy Labour Day! We don't have it here in the UK, so I'll live it vicariously through you.

  3. Hi, sweet Jill! "Yummo!" on the brownies and many thanks for the coffee!

A bit of writing time for me today, then time with the fam. And yes, there will be some edible treats involved.

Happy Labor Day Blessings to you!

  4. It was while listening to Sirius Radio that I learned Labour Day is a holiday in the US as well as in Canada. We just add the 'u.' :) I'm using it as a 'catch up day.' Hope you have great day!

  5. Talli: Oh, definitely live this one vicariously--no gifts to buy, no food to bake--just a Monday off. What's not to love, right? :)

Wendy: Happy Anniversary!!! And enjoy your cookies and friends. :)

Cynthia: Aw, enjoy your writing and family time. Perfect combo in a day!

Lynn: Yes, that's my idea of it too--catch up day! I've cleaned out my microwave and junk drawer, and trust me, those are two things that wouldn't get done unless I had an extra day off! Enjoy yours!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  6. Overcast skies and playing nurse to my recovering mama will prevent us from leaving the house today, but I'm so fine with that. Plenty here to keep me busy. Loving my day off to catch up from a crazy busy couple of weeks. Thanks for the virtual brownies. Enjoy your ice cream cake!

  7. Mmm! Ice cream cake sounds yummy! I'm heading to the mall to search for some good sales. But I might have to get some special sweets on the way home. :)

  9. Summer's gone. It snuck away sometime last night. It's only in the 60's here. The wind is blowing down Lake Michigan and it's pretty chilly. Had a few lake effect showers this morning. Feels like fall.

    Have a great Labor Day!

  10. Happy Labor Day, Jill! It's raining hard here on the East Coast, so we'll have a quiet day.

Yay! I get to visit all my blogging friends.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

  15. Ooooh, ice cream cake. Yum. Enjoy and have a great Labor Day, too. We're spending ours in San Francisco--what could be better than that?

  16. Lisa: I'm glad your mom is recuperating and that the weather doesn't really entice you to be outside! It's always hard when sunshine beckons and we can't get away. :)

Lacie: Hope you found some great deals--and something decadent!

    Erica: Oh, sounds nice!

Loree: Same here. It was 100 degrees Friday and Saturday, then it dropped to 60! Weird!

Susan: Oh, I am so ready to visit all of my bloggy friends too--it's been nutty!

CJ: Just the words sun and room make me smile. Hope you were able to get in there!

Kerry: I know--brownies!! I like the batter too. Bad!!

Nancy: Yeah, forget it's Monday! Enjoy!

Brandi: I hope so too. Dessert is always fun at a cookout!

Patrice: Nothing could be better than that, except maybe if you could sneak me into your suitcase too? SF would be a lot of fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
