One Minute Vacations: Sweet Stuff

Christmas is all about tradition, and one tradition high on the list is baking. Special treats for a special day.

At our house, we bake sugar cookies, gingerbread men, and peanut butter cookies with Hershey's Kisses on top. Some years I make homemade chocolates, a wide variety of cookies, and peppermint bark. This is not one of those years!

So today, drool over the sweet stuff, and enjoy a calorie-free vacation!

What is your favorite Christmas treat?

Have a happy Monday!

  2. I love goodies. Rarely have I met a cookie I haven't liked. I haven't made any treats yet, Raspberry Chocolate Fudge is the most requested around here.

  8. I gave up sweets a few years back in order to reduce a sagging middle (mine, not my story's), but before I did, fudge was my favorite Christmas treat. My family and I would make several pans of it each year and share some with the neighbors.

These days, I'm into shortbread. I've convinced myself it's not really a sweet. It's just bread. (Yeah, I know. I'm rationalizing, but a gal's gotta have some fun, right? =)

  14. Oh, those Hello Kitty cookies are so cute! That's creative. I usually make simple cookies around the holidays, like chocolate chip and peanut butter and put most of my energy into pies. I love anything that's chocolate!

I like it all. The chocolates, the frosted sugar cookies, the pumpkin pie. Oh, I don't like fruit cake (well, technically I've never tried it, but I just know I wouldn't like it:)
